Up to four deserving high school juniors from the licking valley recc service area will be awarded all expense paid trips to washington dc scheduled for the week of june 19 25 2020 as participants in the 2020 kentucky rural electric washington youth tour program sponsored jointly by licking valley recc and the kentucky association of electric cooperatives. As participants in the kentucky rural electric youth tour program sponsored jointly by west kentucky recc and the kentucky association of electric cooperatives. Washington youth tour every summer two deserving high school juniors from the west kentucky rural electric service area make an expense paid trip to washington d c. Kentucky high school seniors from kentucky s electric cooperatives can participate in an all expense paid trip to our nation s capital.

Since 1972 the kentucky association of electric cooperatives has coordinated our state s delegation for the national washington youth tour a weeklong program where students representing rural electric co ops learn about the political process interact with elected officials and gain an up close understanding of american history. The next trip date is june 18 24 2021. Twenty two of kentucky s 24 electric cooperatives participate in the kentucky rural electric. The washington youth tour is an annual week long all expenses paid trip to washington dc that is open to select high school students whose homes are served by electric cooperatives.
