Power settings that are too high can melt and distort many materials. Drawing templates are not currently available for this material. Rubber here we fall back on the tested laser parameters from our material database. If you would like to use silicon rubber draft your file so that your art board matches the standard sheet size of 900mm x 600mm.

All settings noted use the default resolution which is 500 or 600 depending on the make of your laser system. Never leave the laser system running unattended. The following are suggested laser cutter configuration settings for various materials. If a trodat stamp is being used simply select it from the list.

Use your laser s software settings for stamp mode or 3d effects mode. Use your machine s air assist mode while engraving. Consideration should be given to edge quality when selecting laser cutting for gaskets. Laser cutting rubber or elastomeric materials often produces slightly charred melted or burnt edges.

Enter the size of the stamp you intend on engraving. Laser engraving or cutting rubber or polymer can possibly ignite the material. When using cermark metal marking solution remember that not all metals use the same speed setting. Depending on the application material and tolerance needed this may or may not be acceptable.
