Lux level sensor.

The sensors are typically used to monitor external lighting levels to optimise energy efficiency through dimming and or disabling lights as required. It is equal to one lumen per square metre. The external light level sensors return a linear 0 10vdc signal representing the lux level at the photo diode cell based on the selectable lux levels. Lx is the si derived unit of illuminance measuring luminous flux per unit area.

Lux light level adjustment. The built in interference filter in conjunction with the detectors spectral illuminance range. The light level adjustment controls the amount of natural light that starts operations and stops the motion sensor light from triggering when the sun is up. You can set the time delay from 2 seconds to 15 minutes.

In photometry this is used as a measure of the intensity as perceived by the human eye of light that hits or passes through a surface. Your motion sensor light will come preset to activate when it detects dusk and to deactivate when it detects dawn. It is analogous to the radiometric unit watt per square metre but with the power at each wavelength weighted. As well as motion detection the sensor allows light level control which will operate from total darkness up to 65 000 lux.
