I have a maytag bravos dryer that was not heating. Electric dryers use 2 household fuses or circuit breakers. Rated 5 out of 5 by getmett from reliable dependable going on 6 years purchased maytag bravos xl washer and dryer and did not buy into the hype of front loading machines and the expensive drawers you need to keep from bending over all the time to load and unload especially the washing machine. Household fuse is blown or circuit breaker has tripped.

We have checked the thermostat hi and low fuses heating element and all are getting continuity. Check with a qualified electrician. My machine only has two wires. Now its not drying again.

Got a maytag bravo mct medx655dw1 not heating cleaned it checked plug and cord its got 240 to dryer. We replaced cycling thermostat and it worked fine for a couple of days. This not only applies to maytag dryer. This slows the process of removing moist air out of the dryer which will result in longer drying cycles.

Replaced thermo fuse cycling thermostat hi temp cut out and thermostat kit and heat element. Dryer will not heat. A load that is too large for the dryer will not tumble and limits air movement in the dryer. The drum may be turning but you may not have heat.

Side note i recently had to have my power company come out and fix our lines at the curb after experiencing flickering lights and low power to appliances. The fuse is located on the blower housing or at the dryer s heat source such as the heating element on. My maytag bravos quiet series 300 runs but will not heat up at all. No heat what so ever.

So about 25 to 35 feet is all you can do. The thermal fuse is a safety device designed to protect the dryer from overheating. If your vent is stopped it up can cause many parts to go bad so check your vent after repairing the dryer no matter what was wrong with the dryer. Electric dryers require 240 volt power supply.
